When West Indies toured India in the Autumn of 2026, the cricket purists expected a tough battle of attrition. However, what the fans witnessed was a spectacular festival of fireworks. India clinched their three-match ODI series against the visiting West Indies 2-1 after registering wins in the opening two matches and losing the last one.
At the Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati grounds, the ropes seemed to have shrunk as the batsmen unleashed their power.

1. Rohit Sharma (12 Sixes): The Boundary King
And finally, at the top of the leaderboard sits the great Rohit Sharma. With his 12 sixes in the series, he has claimed the honor of being the most prolific six-hitter in T20I history.
Playing in only two of the matches, the “Hitman” scored 3 sixes in the opening ODI on September 27 as India chased down a target of 295 to win by 8 wickets.
Sharma followed it up with an equally impressive century in Guwahati three days later as he punished the bowling attack for another 6 sixes in India's 406-run chase. Playing with a composed stroke, Rohit Sharma continues to be the best pull hitter in the shortest format of the game.The 2026 IND vs WI series will surely be remembered as one of the most thrilling affairs in the history of the game. 2. Virat Kohli (10 Sixes): Thiruvananthapuram Masterclass
Coming second on the leaderboard is the dangerous Virat Kohli, as he remains one of the best T20I batters in the world. Scoring 10 sixes in the entire series, Kohli delivered his best knock in the very first match in Thiruvananthapuram as he remained unbeaten on 139 off 88 balls.
Producing 10 fours and 9 sixes in the innings, the Indian captain bettered his own record for the most sixes hit in a single ODI innings. In the process, he improved his own record for the most centuries in ODI history as he completed his 55th century with a six to bring up the score.
Although he managed to hit only one more six in the second game at Guwahati, he could only manage a golden duck in the third match.3. Shubman Gill (9 Sixes): Historic Captain's Knock
Playing their first game as the leader of the team, Indian skipper Shubman Gill went out and scored his way into the history books. Having recorded the highest individual score in the series with 334 runs, he landed himself as the third-highest six-hitter with 9 maximums.
Having opened the account in the first match with a single six in a composed 110, Gill topped it in the 2nd ODI in Guwahati on September 30. Hitting an unbeaten 223 off 133 balls in the match against West Indies, he launched 8 gigantic sixes in the innings. His 223 was part of the second-highest successful run-chase in ODI history as India chased down 406 with ease. In the process, he recorded the highest-ever score in an ODI run-chase and the fastest double century in ODI history.
