New Delhi. There has been a change in Team India before the third ODI between India and West Indies. Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the third and final ODI due to a hamstring injury. In his place, young fast bowler Anshul Kamboj has been included in the Indian team. The third ODI will be played on October 3 in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
Anshul Kamboj was part of India A's playing-11 in the second unofficial four-day match being played against Australia A in Puducherry. However, after Prasidh Krishna got injured, he had to leave the India A match midway to join Team India. According to reports, Prafulla Hinge was included in his place in India A's playing-11.
Prasidh Krishna suffered a hamstring injury during the second ODI against West Indies in Guwahati. He bowled only five overs in that match and after that he walked out of the field. Now he has been dropped from the third ODI.
Anshul Kamboj has made his Test cricket debut for India, but has not played an ODI match yet. In such a situation, he may get a chance to make his international ODI debut in the third ODI. However, the final playing-11 will be decided by the team management.
Kamboj has taken one wicket while playing one test match for India. Talking about his List-A career, he has taken 56 wickets in 35 matches. His best performance during this period has been 4/22. At the same time, he has 113 wickets in his name in 37 first class matches. In T20 cricket, Kamboj has taken 76 wickets in 55 matches.
The third ODI between India and West Indies will be played on October 3 in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. India has taken a 2-0 lead in the series by winning the first two matches.
