Shubman Gill 's unbeaten 223 off 133 balls, the fastest double century in ODI history, and Rohit Sharma 's 101 helped India chase down 406 against West Indies in the second ODI in Guwahati on Wednesday. India completed their highest successful chase in the format with 39 balls to spare, winning by eight wickets and taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

India became only the second team to chase a target of 400 or more in men's ODIs, after South Africa chased 438 against Australia in Johannesburg in 2006. India finished on 406 for two in 43.3 overs after West Indies had posted their highest ODI total of 405 for seven.
