Nagoya. Indian women's compound archery team retained its gold medal at the Asian Games by defeating China while equaling the world record. The Indian team of Jyoti Surekha Vennam, Chikita Taniparthy and Prithika Pradeep won the title by defeating China 238-234 in the gold medal match.

The Indian team equaled South Korea's world record during this feat. China's team consisting of Vunier, Yue Wang and Fangyao Wei won the silver medal. India reached the final after defeating South Korea 234-233 in the semi-finals at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park.

South Korea's team of Park Jungeun, Park Yerin and Kang Yeonseo won the bronze medal by defeating Chinese Taipei. The Indian women's compound team also won the gold medal in the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
