England pacer Jofra Archer wants to play in the 2025-26 Ashes. The 29-year-old will do everything possible to compete against Australia.

Archer returned to play for England in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, his first assignment since Match 2023. However, he hasn’t played a Test match in over three years, and the England management doesn’t want to rush him into the five-day format.

Speaking to reporters, Archer said that he is tired of reading statements that he might be injured again.

“I am going to use the remaining part of this year to make it happen. I am tired of reading statements that I am going to be on the injury list again. I want to prove these people wrong and hopefully play in another Ashes.”

England Test captain Ben Stokes is also eager to have Archer in the side.

Archer is willing to play in the County Championship matches to prepare himself for Test cricket.

‘I want to play matches in the Championship next year. I will be part of a few and keep building for Test cricket,” he added.
