Nagoya. India continued its dominance in the Kabaddi event of the Asian Games as the women's team defeated Iran 37-34 in the final on Saturday to win the gold medal.

India had led 22-16 at half time but in the second half Iran won 18-15 but India won the yellow medal on the basis of total score. After this victory, the Indian team sang 'Vande Mataram' while circling the field.

India's women's Kabaddi team has won gold medals in every Asian Games except the 2018 Games in Jakarta. It was defeated by Iran in the final in Jakarta. The men's team will play Iran in the final.
