Delhi: Preparations for the fifth season of UAE's International League T20 i.e. ILT20 have intensified. The auction of Season 5 will take place on October 1 at the ICC Academy in Dubai. More than 800 players from 20 countries have registered their names for this auction. Now the organizers are in the process of selecting about 200 of these players for the auction.

Earlier there was some confusion regarding the date of the auction, but now the organizers have made it clear that the bidding for the players will be held on October 1 only.

Six teams will include necessary players in their squad through this auction.

Each team has an amount of 13 lakh dollars

Each team will have an amount of 13 lakh US dollars in the auction. Apart from this, the team will also have the remaining amount of $7 lakh for directly selecting the players and retaining the old players in the team.

After the auction ends, it will be necessary for each team to spend at least 15 lakh dollars. At the same time, any team will be able to spend a maximum of 20 lakh dollars.

However, the amount of a wildcard player added after the auction will not be included in this.

There will be 18 to 23 players in each team

For Season 5, each team can have a minimum of 18 and maximum 23 players. However, along with the number of players, some important rules have also been made regarding their country.

Every team must have at least 11 players from ICC full member countries. Of these, at least four players should be from Afghanistan and at least one player should be from Ireland.

Apart from this, it will be necessary to include at least four players from UAE, one from Kuwait and one from Saudi Arabia in every team.

Apart from these countries, at least one player from any other ICC associate member country should also be in the team.

Bidding will start from 10 thousand dollars

The starting price of all the players included in the auction has been kept at least 10 thousand US dollars. Some players can also give their names with a starting price of 40 thousand or 80 thousand dollars.

Registration of players took place from July to September 12. Now out of more than 800 players, about 200 players will be included in the final auction list.

If you like the old player, then there is a chance for RTM.

In the ILT20 auction, every team will get a chance to use Right to Match i.e. RTM four times. Through this, teams can include some players who were with them in the last season back in the team.

Each team will have an RTM for a player from a Full Member country who was part of the same team in Season 4. Players from Afghanistan and Ireland will also be included in it.

Apart from this, RTM can also be used for one player from an associate member country, one player from UAE and one player from Kuwait or Saudi Arabia.

In the case of a UAE player, he must have been a part of the same team in Season 4 or have been part of that team's development squad in the 2026 ILT20 Development Tournament.

Players can be replaced in case of injury or being called to the national team.

If a player gets injured, is called to the national team of his country or does not get permission to play for his country i.e. NOC, then another player can be included in his place.

This change can be made till the end of the league phase of Season 5. However, once the preparations for the final phase of the tournament begin, any replacement of a player will require the approval of the ILT20 Technical Committee.

There are separate rules for essential category players also. Instead of players from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Afghanistan or Ireland, only registered players can be included in the same auction.

At the same time, registration in the auction will not be necessary for players who are being replaced by players from other countries.
