Kuldeep Yadav paid a visit to Bageshwar Dham temple in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh ahead of ODI series against Sri Lanka. The official handle of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar released a video of Kuldeep’s visit. He took the blessings of Dhirendra Kumar Shastri on the eve of Guru Poornima Mahotsav.

Kuldeep was rested for the T20I series against Sri Lanka despite playing a key role in India’s win in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the United States of America.

Kuldeep and Axar Patel will be India”s two frontline spinners in one-day internationals against Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, the Men in Blue’s new head coach Gautam Gambhir and the players have arrived in Lanka to compete in a three-match T20I series.

Suryakumar Yadav is Team India’s new skipper in the shortest format of the game. The first contest will be played on July 27 in Pallekele. The ODI series will begin from August 2.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who announced retirement from the T20I after winning the World Cup, are back in the ODI side.

The series will also mark the return of wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul and middle order batters Shreyas Iyer.
