Delhi: Indian cricket team's explosive batsman Rinku Singh is out of Team India these days. He also did not get a place in the team selected for the Asian Games 2026 and was also left out of the recently concluded three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. India won this series 3-0. Rinku has been in and out of the team continuously for some time now. Now Rinku is looking to make a comeback in the team as an all-rounder.

Rinku has been in and out of the team for the last one year.

Rinku made her debut for India in 2023. He has played 48 T20 International matches so far, in which his average has been around 37 and strike rate has been 156.34. He has also played two ODI matches. Rinku was also a part of India's 2026 T20 World Cup winning team.

However, in the last one year he has not been able to get a regular place in the T20 team. The Indian team management is giving priority to such players in the middle order, who can contribute in bowling along with batting. Rinku admitted that a major reason for being in and out of the team is the team's combination.

Rinku is looking to make a comeback as an all-rounder

While talking to Sportstar, Rinku said that he is currently working on his bowling, because the demand for players with two skills has increased in current cricket. He said that he has bowled at the international level before and also taken wickets, but now he wants to improve further so that he can show his progress to the selectors.

Rinku also admitted that there is mental pressure between being out of the team continuously and then expecting a comeback.

According to Rinku, due to IPL the competition for a place in the Indian T20 team has increased a lot. New players are emerging every season. He agreed that in modern cricket it is beneficial to have two skills, but due to the arrival of new players there is no need for any player to change his natural game.
