By completing his century in just 30 balls, Abhishek made the record of the fastest century by an Indian batsman in T20 International. Earlier this record was in the name of Rohit Sharma.

Rohit scored a century in 35 balls against Sri Lanka in Indore on 22 December 2017. Abhishek broke this record 5 balls ago.

2. Fastest century as a full member team batsman

Abhishek's century in 30 balls is not just an Indian record. It has also become the fastest T20I century scored by a batsman from any Test playing country.

Earlier this record was jointly held by Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe and Finn Allen of New Zealand. Both of them had scored centuries in 33 balls.

6. First Indian to score three centuries in three years
