Arshdeep Singh visits Chandigarh University, receives a grand welcome from students and officials

Arshdeep Singh, who hails from Punjab, is basking in the glory of Team India’s success in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The speedster was one of the top performers in the United States of America and the West Indies and played a vital role in the Men in Blue’s title triumph. After getting a warm welcome in Delhi and Mumbai, Arshdeep is getting a lot of attention in his native state. He recently paid a visit to Chandigarh University and was welcomed by the students and the officials.

In 8 matches, he took 17 wickets at an average of 12.64 and an economy of 7.16. He dismissed Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram against South Africa in the final in Barbados. The Men in Blue defeated the Proteas by 7 runs, with Arshdeep hailing Jasprit Bumrah for his support.

To manage his workload, he was rested from the five-match T20I series in Zimbabwe. The left-arm pacer will now return to action in the white-ball matches against Sri Lanka.

Singh has been named in the ODI and T20I squads for the forthcoming tour. With Jasprit Bumrah unavailable, Arshdeep is likely to lead the bowling attack.
