After defeating Zimbabwe in the T20 International series at their home Indian Team The next tour of India will be to Sri Lanka.

The team has been announced for this tour of Sri Lanka. On this tour, India will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20 International series. The tour will start with the T20 International series on 27 July. Suryakumar Yadav has been given the captaincy of the T20 International team while Shubman Gill will take over the responsibility of vice-captaincy. Captain Rohit Sharma (Rohit Sharma) and Virat Kohli both have returned.

Gill has also been made the vice-captain of the ODI team.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli return to the ODI squad. While both the senior batsmen were expected to be rested for the series, they reportedly made themselves available following Gambhir's request as the upcoming series is his first assignment as head coach.

Both the veteran batsmen will play ODIs for the first time since the World Cup final in November last year.

Shreyas Iyer is also back in the ODI squad. Earlier this year, the right-handed batsman was dropped from the team and also lost his central contract for not playing domestic cricket.

Riyan Parag has been selected in the squad for both T20 Internationals and ODIs. He and Harshit Rana have got a place in ODIs for the first time.

Talking about the T20 International team, Surya has replaced Hardik and become the captain of the team. Sanju Samson has managed to save his place while Abhishek Sharma has been dropped. Shivam Dubey and Washington Sundar have also been selected in the T20 International squad as all-rounders.
