Team India has been announced for the Sri Lanka tour. The big news is that Suryakumar Yadav has been made the new T20 captain of Team India. At the same time, Hardik Pandya is no longer the vice-captain of the team. Shubman Gill has been given the vice-captaincy of the ODI and T20 team. This was the first team selection meeting of the tenure of head coach Gautam Gambhir and some such decisions have been taken in the same which has shocked everyone. Let us tell you that in this selection meeting, five players have been treated very unfairly. These players performed well but despite this they did not get a place in Team India.
Rituraj Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma, who performed brilliantly on the Zimbabwe tour, have been dropped from the T20 team. Abhishek Sharma scored a brilliant century in Zimbabwe, while Gaikwad scored 133 runs at an average of 66.50, but despite this he was dropped from the team.
Sanju Samson has got a chance in the T20 series against Sri Lanka but this player has been dropped from the ODI team. The big thing is that in his last ODI match, Sanju Samson scored a century against South Africa but now he is not in the team.
Fast bowlers Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan were both part of the team on the Zimbabwe tour. Both had performed well but now both of them did not get a chance on the Sri Lanka tour. They were neither selected in the T20 team nor were they given a place in the ODI team.
