New Delhi: After Ricky Ponting’s shocking split with Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals on Saturday, rumours regarding skipper Rishabh Pant’s disassociation with the franchise are doing rounds.
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, speculations are rife that Pant, who shares a close bond with Ponting, will call it quits. The T20 World winner, who was appointed DC’s captain in 2021 following Shreyas Iyer’s departure, showcased his excellent leadership qualities during his two-year tenure. His unfortunate accident forced him to miss the IPL 2023 season, but he didn’t let it dampen his spirits as he came back roaring in the IPL 2024 edition. Now, as per multiple media reports, Pant ending his association with the franchise might be a possibility. Let’s see which franchise will he join next. Pant to join CSK ? Fans are desperately waiting for the majestic pairing of Pant and Dhoni, who share a very close bond on and off the field.
