A big news has come out from the Pakistani cricket world. A legendary all-rounder of Pakistan has passed away. This legend has said goodbye to the world at the age of 88. This player did a feat in the very first match of his international career which no Pakistani player had done before him. This legend had also performed brilliantly in domestic cricket and won many matches with his batting as well as bowling.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Billy Ibadullah has passed away at the age of 88. He played four Test matches for Pakistan between 1964 and 1967. Ibadullah started his international Test career against Australia in Karachi in 1964. He scored a century in his debut match itself and scored 166 runs in the first innings. With this innings, he became the first player to score a century on Test debut for Pakistan.

Wicketkeeper Abdul Qadir also made his debut in this match. There was a partnership of 249 runs between the two players for the first wicket. This is the biggest partnership between two debutants for any wicket in Test cricket. However, his career could not progress much and he got opportunities to play only 3 more matches after this.

Won the hearts of fans with his strong performance in domestic cricket

Billy Ibadulla was very successful in first class cricket, he scored 17,078 runs in 417 first class matches at an average of 27.28 and took 462 wickets at an average of 30.96. Out of these 417 matches, he played 377 matches for Warwickshire. He played cricket for this team for almost a decade. After this, he stayed in New Zealand and played a few seasons for the Otago team. On the other hand, Billy Ibadulla also played 64 List A matches. During this, he scored 829 runs and took 84 wickets. Not only this, he also played the role of umpire in 20 first class matches and 12 List A matches.
