In such a situation, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has included the hybrid model for the Champions Trophy 2025 in its most important agenda for the upcoming ICC Annual Meeting. That is, in this meeting, a decision can be taken to conduct the Champions Trophy 2025 on a hybrid model. This meeting is to be held in Colombo from 19 to 22 July.

Decision can be taken in ICC annual meeting

According to the report, during the ICC Annual Meeting, India will ask Pakistan to confirm its participation. The budget for hosting the tournament in another country along with Pakistan is on the agenda of the ICC meeting. It is believed that if the tournament is played on a hybrid model, then the United Arab Emirates can be included as a co-host. The report also claims that if the Champions Trophy is held on a hybrid model, then one semi-final and the final will be held outside Pakistan.

Chartered flight will be arranged

If the Champions Trophy is played on a hybrid model, then chartered flights will also be arranged by the ICC. Which will be for the teams going from Pakistan to UAE. However, the PCB is adamant on organizing the entire tournament in Pakistan. Earlier, Pakistan also hosted the Asia Cup 2023. But due to the Indian team, the tournament was hosted in a hybrid model.
