Morne Morkel now lives in Australia and has worked with many teams as a coach. Gambhir and Morkel have also worked together in the IPL. Both these veterans worked for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL. At the same time, Morkel was a part of the same team even after Gambhir joined Kolkata Knight Riders last season.

Morne Morkel was the coach of the Pakistan team during the ODI Cup held in India last year, but after the poor performance of the team, he left his post a few months before his contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ended.
