By winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy, the Indian team told the world that it is a champion team. In the last several ICC tournaments, it has been eliminated after reaching the finals in the semi-finals. In such a situation, this time the team led by Rohit Sharma did not make any mistake.

The BCCI announced to reward the winning players after the big achievement of its team. Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jay Shah announced to distribute an amount of Rs 125 crore among all the members.

The amount of Rs 125 crore received from BCCI was not distributed equally among Team India. According to the information received, apart from the 15 players in the squad, coach Rahul Dravid also got Rs 5 crore each.

Apart from this, the rest of the coaching staff was given Rs 2.5 crore each, lower level staff was given Rs 2 crore each, every person in the selection committee was given Rs 1 crore each and every reserve player was given Rs 1 crore each. Apart from this, the Indian team also received Rs 20.42 crore as prize money from ICC.

These 3 got Rs 5 crore each for free

In the 15-member Indian team selected for the T20 World Cup 2024 played in America and West Indies, there were three players who did not get a chance to play even a single match. These included Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal and Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, due to being in the team, these players also received Rs 5 crore each from the prize money received from BCCI. That is, it would not be wrong to say that these three cricketers became rich without scoring a single run or taking a wicket.
