Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal had a terrific time with the bat in the five-match series against England.

The 22-year-old made 712 runs in nine innings, which helped the Rohit Sharma-led side seal the series 4-1. Star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was heavily impressed with Jaiswal's performance as he lauded the Uttar Pradesh-born cricketer and stated that he keeps his head down and continues to perform consistently. Notably, Jaiswal was adjudged ICC's Player of the Month for February 2024, beating Kane Williamson and Pathum Nissanka in the race. Meanwhile, Pant added that if the opener manages to keep up with his form, he can have a brilliant career in international cricket as he possesses the talent that's required. Rishabh Pant opens up on Delhi Capitals, life in the rehab lane and love of the fans "Really amazing. The way all the youngsters are stepping up. I think it's been really amazing because, you know, over a period of time, some new people come to the team. Every time you won't see them performing, but when they perform and keep their heads (down)... Like not thinking too much... And Jaiswal is someone who likes keeping his head down and just keeps doing what he is doing. And I think if he keeps on doing that, then there's a long way to go," Pant said at the Club Prairie Fire podcast. Meanwhile, Pant has been cleared by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) to play in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. He will be leading Delhi Capitals and will also be wicketkeeping in the tournament. The 26-year-old recently joined the Capitals franchise in Vizag, where the franchise will be playing their first two games of the season. DC head coach Ricky Ponting, however, is cautious as the team management doesn't want to risk him by letting him field despite not being entirely fit. As things stand, the DC medical team will have a closer look at Pant's injuries and will then take a call on his availability for the first week of the tournament.
