BCCI: South Africa faced India in the final match of the T20 World Cup 2024 hosted by America and West Indies. Team India's performance in the final match was excellent. Due to which the Indian team was successful in defeating South Africa by 7 runs in the final match.
Team India has won the ICC trophy after 11 years. Due to which this victory is being celebrated all over India. After winning the final on 29 June, Team India has now returned home. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a big decision and is going to make this veteran the new selector.
Let us tell you that BCCI is now going to select a selector for the North Zone.
Due to which the name of former Team India player Mithun Manhas is leading. BCCI can now make Mithun Manhas the chief selector of the North Zone.The post of North Zone is going to be vacant very soon. Due to which Mithun Manhas can be selected for this post. Currently, the selector of North Zone is Salil Ankola. Apart from Mithun Manhas, Nikhil Chopra, Reetinder Singh Sodhi and Ajay Ratra are also in the race for this post.
If we talk about Mithun Manhas's cricket career, he has played domestic cricket for the Delhi team so far.
However, Mithun Manhas never got a chance to play in Team India. But he has played 157 matches in first class cricket.In which he has scored 9714 runs in 244 innings. Manhas has scored a total of 27 centuries in first class. Apart from this, Mithun Manhas has scored 4126 runs in 130 List A matches. During this, he scored 5 centuries and 26 half-centuries. At the same time, Mithun Manhas has scored a total of 15000 runs in his domestic cricket.
The Indian team was successful in winning the T20 World Cup trophy for the first time in the year 2007.
