KL Rahul: A series of 5 T20 matches is being played between Team India and Zimbabwe (ZIM VS IND) at Harare ground from July 6. Shubman Gill has been given the responsibility of captaining Team India for this T20 series to be held at Zimbabwe ground.
Team India will be seen playing on the field for the first time under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. Meanwhile, according to reports in the media, KL Rahul may soon be added to the team squad on the Zimbabwe tour, while some reports also claim that KL Rahul can now be seen directly entering the playing 11.
Team India's star wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul has not got a chance to play in the T20 format for the Indian team since the World Cup in 2022.
The selection committee had also given a chance to Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant as wicketkeeper-batsman options in the squad selected for the T20 World Cup 2024, but now some media reports are claiming that KL Rahul may get a chance to return to T20 International cricket soon.
Team India's star wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson has been given a chance in the team squad for the Zimbabwe T20 series. Sanju Samson was included in the team by the selection committee as an option for wicketkeeper batsman but till now Sanju Samson has not been able to reach Zimbabwe.
Due to which it is believed that the selection committee can decide to give rest to Sanju Samson before the start of Zimbabwe T20 series and include KL Rahul in Team India's squad in his place.

The selection committee has included Jitesh Sharma as a replacement for Sanju Samson for the first two matches, but some media reports are claiming that KL Rahul may return to the playing 11 for the last 3 matches of the Zimbabwe T20 series.
