PCB became strict on Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen? All three players are waiting for the decision

After the poor performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, the Pakistan Cricket Board seems to be getting strict on its players. The PCB allows all its players to play only two foreign cricket leagues in a year. But Pakistan captain Babar Azam, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi have not yet been given permission to play in a foreign cricket league.

Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen have not received NOC yet

The Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet given NOC to its team captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi to participate in the Global T20 Canada League.

The Global T20 Canada League is scheduled to be held from 25 July to 11 August, while Pakistan's Test series against Bangladesh on home ground will start around 19 August.

On Tuesday, the PCB has issued NOCs to 12 players for different leagues. But the names of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi are not included in these 12 players. Let us tell you, these three players come in the top category in the central contract. A PCB official told PTI that the PCB is not comfortable with the status of the Global League and has sought some information from the organizers and the ICC, which is why there has been a delay in issuing the NOC.

PCB gave NOC to these players

PCB has given NOC to Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan for USA Major League from 4 to 28 July. Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Hasnain, Salman Ali Aga, Shadab Khan got permission for Lanka Premier League. At the same time, Fakhar Zaman has also got NOC for Caribbean Premier League. On the other hand, Osama Mir has been given permission for Hundred and Mohammad Aamir for County Cricket.
