Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma invites fans to celebrate T20 World Cup victory at Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium

Team India captain Rohit Sharma has shared a special message for fans after winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He has invited fans to the victory parade at Marine Drive and at the Wankhede Stadium. Taking to X, the veteran shared details of the roadshow in Mumbai.

“We want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let’s celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00pm onwards. It’s coming home,” Rohit wrote.

The Indian captain also shared a picture with teammate Suryakumar Yadav.

The Men in Blue have left Barbados and will reach Delhi on July 4.

“Join us for the Victory Parade honouring Team India’s World Cup win! Head to Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards to celebrate with us! Save the date!,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah wrote.

Team India players, support staff and media contingent boarded a charter flight from Grantley Adams International Airport on Wednesday.

India lifted the T20 World Cup after defeating South Africa by 7 runs. However, the sub-continent team was stranded in Barbados for three days due to Hurricane Beryl.

After their return to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will felicitate the Rohit Sharma-led team.
