Babar Azam's record broken

Kusal Perera broke Babar Azam's record by scoring this century in Lanka Premier League. Babar Azam scored a century in 57 balls in Galle last year and Kusal Perera scored a century 7 balls before him.

It was not at all easy for Kusal Perera to score this century. The pitch of Pallekele was not that easy for batting, the ball was moving a lot in the beginning, that is why Kusal Perera started slowly. He completed his first 50 runs in 31 balls.

After scoring a half-century, Kusal Perera opened his hands and completed his century in the next 19 balls.

Perera hit 4 sixes and 4 fours after the half-century. That means he scored 40 runs from boundaries only. On the basis of Kusal Perera's century, Dambulla scored 191 runs in 20 overs. By the way, the interesting thing is that Kusal Perera was not selected by the Sri Lankan team for the T20 World Cup. The reason for this was his poor form. He was continuously failing for some time and this is the reason why he was dropped from the team.
