Team India players have reached Harare for the 5 T20 match series against Zimbabwe. On this tour, the Indian team has to play a 5 T20 match series against Zimbabwe. Shubman Gill has been made the captain of Team India for the Zimbabwe tour. On this tour, VVS Laxman has accompanied the Indian players in the role of coach. On the other hand, if we talk about the Zimbabwe team, it has started its practice even before the Indian team reached Harare.
The Zimbabwe Cricket Board has shared the pictures and videos of Shubman Gill and Team India arriving in Harare on its X handle.
While the rest of the players of Team India have reached Zimbabwe by flying from India, Shubman Gill has reached Harare directly from America for the T20 series.Gill was part of the Indian team's reserve squad during the T20 World Cup 2024. But, he was released from the team after the group stage. After being released from the team, Gill was holidaying in America. And, now he has flown from there and joined the team in Harare.

For the first time on this tour, a 5 T20 match series is being played between India and Zimbabwe.
Before this, Team India had never played a 5 T20 match series with Zimbabwe. In 2010, on the Zimbabwe tour, India played a 2 T20 match series and won 2-0. After this, in 2015 also a 2 match series was played on the Zimbabwe tour which was a 1-1 draw. In 2016, the Indian team played a 3 T20 match series on the Zimbabwe tour and won it 2-1.After reaching Harare, Team India will now start preparations. However, the host team has already started its practice. They are seen sweating continuously on the field.
