Miller wrote on his Instagram story, calling the news of retirement a rumour, “Contrary to some reports, I have not retired from T20 International cricket. I will be available to play for the Proteas. The best is yet to come.” Miller scored 21 runs in 17 balls in the final with the help of a four and a six. Suryakumar Yadav took a wonderful catch near the boundary which changed the match.

On the defeat in the final, Miller said, “I am very sad!! It is very difficult to swallow what happened two days ago. Words cannot describe how I feel.
