In an exciting contest on Day 4 of the Ranji Trophy 2024 finals at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Vidharbha had a mammoth 538 to chase down.
The match hung in favour of Mumbai by the end of Day 4 as Vidarbha need a massive 290 runs to win with five wickets in hands on the final day. The fourth day kicked off with overnight batters Atharva Taide and Dhruv Shorey continuing the chase. Both the openers had a decent partnership and added 64 runs before Taide was dismissed by Shams Mulani for 32. Shorey also fell right after Taide's dismissal, scoring 28 off 50.
