The players of the Pakistan cricket team had a very poor performance in the T20 World Cup. On one hand, Team India became the world champion, while on the other hand, Pakistan was eliminated in the first round itself. The side-effects of this poor performance of Pakistan are now being felt on its players. The big news is that Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan and opener Saim Ayyub have been barred by the PCB from playing in the CPL. The PCB has refused to give a no objection certificate to both these players.

Azam shines in CPL

Azam Khan may not have done anything amazing in international cricket, but this player has made his name as a big hitter in the CPL.

Azam has played many matches for Guyana Amazon Warriors and Barbados Royals. Sayyam Ayyub played in the CPL only last year, but in the second season itself, PCB forbade him from playing. Let us tell you that both Azam Khan and Sayyam Ayyub get lakhs of rupees in the CPL, but now this will not be possible.

Why did PCB take this step?

Actually, after the poor performance in the T20 World Cup, the PCB has taken very strict steps. The PCB has decided that it will make its players play as much domestic cricket as possible.

The players will be given a chance to play in only a few external leagues.

Azam-Saiyam both flop

Both Azam Khan and Saim Ayyub have been given many opportunities by the Pakistan cricket team but these players have not been able to prove themselves yet. Saim Ayyub has scored only 309 runs in 23 T20 matches and has not scored a single half-century. His batting average is also 14.71 and strike rate is just 122. Azam Khan has also scored 88 runs in 14 T20 matches at an average of just 8.80. He has not scored a single half-century either. It is clear that PCB now wants to train these two players in domestic cricket so that their game can improve.
