There is not much time left for the start of the Paris Olympics, but before this great sporting event, Indian sports lovers have received a bad news. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who won gold in the Tokyo Olympics, has been ruled out of the Paris Diamond League. According to reports, Neeraj Chopra has taken this big decision due to not being fully fit. Neeraj Chopra has been suffering from an injury in the inner thigh muscles for the last few months. He is feeling uncomfortable during training and throwing and this is the reason why he has withdrawn from the Paris Diamond League.
This news is not good at all because the Paris Diamond League was a good opportunity for Neeraj Chopra to prepare before the Olympics and now he will not participate in it.Neeraj Chopra has spoken a lot about his injury in a conversation with ESPN. Chopra informed that he is working to strengthen his leg which blocks during training and throw. Neeraj Chopra said that he could have played some more tournaments but keeping his fitness in mind, he did not participate in them as a precaution.
Neeraj Chopra said that he now plays in any tournament only after careful consideration and avoids taking risks.
Neeraj Chopra recently won the gold medal in the Paavo Nurmi Games held in Finland. He admitted that winning the gold medal was good but he will have to work harder to win the gold medal in the Paris Olympics. It is hoped that the problems Neeraj Chopra is facing during training do not become too big because if this happens then it will be no less than a big shock for India.
