Recently, former India and RCB wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik retired from IPL. After this, he was seen doing commentary in the T20 World Cup, but before IPL 2025, Karthik has returned to the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in a new avatar. Now he will play the role of batting coach and mentor in this team.

RCB tweeted, “Welcome back to RCB in a new avatar as our keeper in every sense.

You can keep the man out of cricket but not the cricket out of the man. 12th Man Army.”

It is worth noting that 39-year-old Karthik has played all three formats of cricket for India and has also won the T20 World Cup title for India in 2007. As a batting coach, Karthik will help motivate the batsmen. Apart from this, he will also guide the young players as a mentor.
