Rahul Dravid joined the Indian team in September 2021. He led India's Under-19 team to win the World Cup and worked hard with the India A team. Therefore, when he joined the team, there were a lot of expectations from him. However, under his captaincy, Team India lost shamefully in the 2022 T20 World Cup semi-finals under Rohit Sharma. After this, he, along with Rohit, decided to make a team that would be difficult to defeat. For this, he worked hard for 3 years. When this hard work paid off in Barbados, Dravid looked very emotional about it.
Ever since Rahul Dravid took charge of the Indian team, the team has been transformed.
He has produced many match winners in the last three years, the results of which are now visible. Under his leadership, Team India was consistently performing well, but was not getting success in big ICC matches. The Indian team reached the finals of 3 ICC tournaments in the last 12 months, but had to face defeat in two. When Dravid made India the world champion for the third time, his old pain came out. Dravid said in an interview after the match that he could never win a trophy as a player, but the hard work of the last 2 years has now paid off. The work that he could not do as a player, this team has made it possible.#WATCH On India winning T20 World Cup 2024, Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid says, “As a player, I was not lucky enough to win a trophy but I gave my best…I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity to coach a team, I was lucky that this bunch of boys made it possible pic.twitter.com/aKKCh9XIYV
