Team India created history in the final of T20 World Cup 2024. India defeated South Africa in the title match. India was looking to lose this match at one point but Jasprit Bumrah's excellent spell made this impossible task possible. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets for just 18 runs in 4 overs in the title clash. Bumrah turned this match in a completely filmy style.
Team India's fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah bowled brilliantly in the powerplay but his real talent was seen in the death overs. At one point South Africa had scored 147 runs in 15 overs and had lost only 4 wickets.
By this time Team India's defeat seemed certain but then Bumrah came and the game completely changed.In the 16th over, Bumrah tied down Klaasen and Miller completely and gave away just 4 runs. This over put pressure on South Africa. Hardik Pandya took advantage of this pressure created by Bumrah and he dismissed Heinrich Klaasen on the very first ball of his over. As soon as Klaasen's wicket fell, South Africa came on the backfoot and then in the 18th over, Bumrah won the entire game in Team India's favour.

In the end, South Africa needed 20 runs in 2 overs and Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly and gave 4 runs in the 19th over. After this, in the last over, Hardik Pandya dismissed David Miller on the very first ball. Pandya also dismissed Rabada on the fifth ball and in the end Team India won the T20 World Cup by 7 runs.
