Team India performed brilliantly in the T20 World Cup 2024 and won the title. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India defeated every opponent faced in the group stage and Super-8. After this, India forced a strong team like England to kneel in the semi-finals. Now in the great match, it defeated South Africa and won the ICC trophy after 11 years and also earned a lot.
Team India has won the T20 World Cup trophy after 17 years by defeating South Africa.
For this success, it has received a reward of 2.45 million dollars i.e. about 20.42 crores from the ICC. Apart from this, the Indian team has received 31,154 dollars (about 26 lakh rupees) separately for every victory. If we add all these together, the Indian team has earned 22.76 crores from this tournament.On the other hand, the South African team, which reached the final for the first time and was runner-up, got 1.28 million dollars (about 10.67 crores) which is half of the prize money of the champion team.
Apart from this, it got about 2.07 crores rupees separately for winning 8 matches. South Africa has earned a total of 12.7 crores from this tournament.ICC had kept a prize money of $7,87,500 (Rs 6.56 crores) for the teams losing in the semi-finals. Afghanistan and England lost in the semi-finals. Therefore, apart from Rs 6.56 crores, they have also been given Rs 26 lakh separately for each win.
Four teams were eliminated from the Super-8, but they too have returned rich.
Each team has been given $3,82,500 (approximately Rs 3.18 crore). West Indies, Australia, Bangladesh and America were eliminated from this round and they received Rs 3.18 crore along with Rs 26 lakh separately for every win.ICC has not let the team which is eliminated from the group stage go empty handed. ICC has given 2,47,500 dollars (about 2.06 crores) and 26 lakh rupees for every win to the teams ranked 9th to 12th. Whereas, teams ranked 13th to 20th have been given 2,25,000 dollars (about 1.87 crores) and 26 lakh rupees.
