Delhi: Ahead of the final match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to be played between India and South Africa on Saturday, Cricket Australia (CS) has selected the XI of the current edition. His team includes three Indian players, including captain and opener Rohit Sharma, veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and star chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav.

Apart from this, Cricket Australia has also included the dashing all-rounder Rashid Khan, who led Afghanistan to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup, in its playing eleven. The surprising thing is that CA has made Rashid the captain of the team and not Rohit.

According to the selected team, Australia's opener Travis Head will open the innings with Rohit. India's Rishabh Pant has not got a place for the wicketkeeper's position, while in his place Nicholas Pooran, who performed brilliantly for West Indies, will bat at number three in the World Cup team and will also play the role of wicketkeeper.

Apart from him, American batsman Aaron Jones, Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya have been selected by Cricket Australia in its team, where Rashid Khan will join the team as a specialist spinner and captain, while Bangladesh spinner Rishad Hussain, India's pacer Jaspreet Bumrah, South Africa's fast bowler Enrique Norkhia and Afghanistan's fast bowler Fazalhaq Farooqui have managed to make a place in this team.

It is also worth noting that not a single player from England, Pakistan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka has been able to make it to the team. Not only this, Virat Kohli has not been selected in the team selected by Australia due to his average performance.

XI picked by Cricket Australia for ICC T20 World Cup 2024:

Rohit Sharma, Travis Head, Nicholas Pooran, Aaron Jones, Marcus Stoinis, Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan (captain), Rishad Hussain, Enrique Norkhia, Jasreet Bumrah, Fazalhaq Farooqui.
