Michael Vaughan, a former cricketer for England, predicted that the Men in Blue will embark on a “trophy-winning spree” if the Rohit Sharma-led Team India prevails in the T20 World Cup 2024 championship match.

The Men in Blue will play South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 championship game on Saturday at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

The Men in Blue will be looking to win their first T20 World Cup since the 2007 tournament in South Africa, as well as break their winless streak without an ICC trophy since the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Vaughan said that Rohit Sharma’s team had “much quality” on his official X account.

He went on to say that India would be much stronger over the next several years if they managed to break their trophy drought in the ICC.

“I think India will go on a trophy-winning rampage if they win tonight. They have so much talent, both within and outside of this group. They haven’t won a trophy in ten years, but this one may lead to many more in the next few years, Vaughan wrote on X.

Given the skill in and out of this team, I have no doubt that India will go on a trophy-winning rampage if they win tonight.

After putting up an incredible show in the main tournament, South Africa and India are the only teams to remain undefeated in the T20 World Cup of 2024.

The tournament results for both teams have been very different. The team captained by Rohit Sharma has crushed every team they have played in the competition, including formidable opponents like Australia, Pakistan, and England.

Though the Proteas have, more than once, narrowly avoided elimination on their way to the crown,.

In the group stage, Bangladesh and Nepal gave them a serious competition. They almost completed their elimination in their last Super 8 match against the West Indies, who were the co-hosts, when they chased the amended 123.
