When India plays South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final match at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday, cricket fans are hoping that Rohit Sharma’s team will win.

The Men in Blue will be looking to win their first T20 World Cup since the 2007 tournament in South Africa, as well as break their winless streak without an ICC trophy since the 2013 Champions Trophy.

After putting up an incredible show in the main tournament, South Africa and India are the only teams to remain undefeated in the T20 World Cup of 2024.

But in the T20 World Cup’s history, there has never been a champion who finished the competition undefeated.

Fans have expressed their satisfaction with the Men in Blue’s performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, speaking to ANI.

“India has played really well the whole tournament. “I hope India wins the World Cup,” a supporter said.

Another spectator, meanwhile, complimented India’s batting lineup for their outstanding performance in the main event.

“Every Indian player has played really well at bat…Another fan said, “I hope Virat Kohli scores runs in the championship game and India wins the World Cup.”

The tournament results for both teams have been very different. The team captained by Rohit Sharma has crushed every team they have played in the competition, including formidable opponents like Australia, Pakistan, and England.

On many instances, the Proteas have narrowly avoided elimination while making it to the final. In the group stage, Bangladesh and Nepal gave them a serious competition. They almost completed their elimination in their last Super 8 match against the West Indies, who were the co-hosts, when they chased the amended 123.

The following players represent India: Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Rohit Sharma (captain), Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Arshdeep Singh.

Quinton de Kock (WK), Reeza Hendricks, Aiden Markram (C), Kobe Bryant, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi, Ottneil Baartman, Gerald Coetzee, Bjorn Fortuin, and Ryan Rickelton are the members of the South Africa squad.
