The Indian team is currently busy playing the ICC T20 World Cup and now they have also made their place in the final. There is one player in this world who has disappointed the Indian fans so far and has consistently performed poorly.
Even though India has performed consistently well in this World Cup, there is one player who has remained in the team despite poor performance. This player disappointed everyone throughout the World Cup but despite this, he remains a favorite of captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid.
When star all-rounder Shivam Dubey was included in the World Cup team, it was expected that he would come in the middle overs and hit big shots against spin.
However, nothing like that was seen and he has performed poorly. If we look at his performance in this World Cup, he has played a total of 7 matches and during this time he has scored only 106 runs with a modest average of 21 and a strike rate of 106. Despite this poor record, he is getting regular opportunities in the playing eleven. Due to his poor performance, India seems to be weakening a bit in the last overs.
Let us tell you that despite seeing such performance of Dubey, he has been given a place in the team for the Zimbabwe tour. Actually, young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was first included in the team for this tour. However, a few days after the announcement of the team, he got injured and has been ruled out of the tour.
Nitish has now been replaced by Dubey, who has been continuously failing in the World Cup. The Indian selectors are kind to Dubey and despite such poor performance, he is being given continuous opportunities.
The second semi-final match between India and England was played in Guyana on Thursday. In this match, Dubey was expected to perform well but it did not happen and he got out on the very first ball. Because of this, India could not score runs at the pace it wanted.
