The openers of the Indian women's cricket team have done a great feat on Friday, June 28. During the one-match Test series against South Africa in Chennai, Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma together made a record opening partnership of 292 runs. In this innings, Mandhana scored 149 runs, while Shefali scored 143 runs. With this, both have broken the 20-year-old record of Pakistan. Earlier this record was in the name of Pakistan's openers Sajida Shah and Kiran Baloch. In the year 2004, both had added 241 runs for the first wicket against West Indies.
