India defeated England by 68 runs to qualify for the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel took three wickets each to dismantle the battling like up of the 2022 champions. Chasing 172, the Jos Buttler-led team was restricted to 103 runs in 16.4 overs.Earlier, England won the toss and elected to bowl first. Buttler’s decision back-fired as the Men in Blue posted 171/7. Rohit Sharma (57 runs off 39 balls), Suryakumar Yadav (47 runs off 36 balls) and Hardik Pandya (23 runs off 13 balls) batted aggressively.
For England, Chris Jordan took three wickets. India will face South Africa in the final on June 29.
