• Rohit's wicket came at a combined score of 113. Surya played a brilliant innings of 47 runs, although he was out 2 overs earlier than needed.
• Vice-captain Hardik Pandya (23) smashed two sixes in two balls off Chris Jordan in the 17th over.
• However, he had to go on the next ball.
  In the end, Ravindra Jadeja (17) and Axar Patel made a crucial partnership of 24 runs. Which took India to the score of 171.

Englishmen trapped in the spin of Akshar-Kuldeep

• Axar Patel turned the contest in India's favour with his opening spell itself, after Jos Buttler smashed three boundaries in Arshdeep Singh's third over to quickly put England ahead.
• But the left-arm spinner dismissed Buttler, who had scored 23 off 15 balls, on the first ball of the fourth over.
• After this, it seemed as if there was a flurry of wickets.
  England lost 4 batsmen in the next 23 runs.
• Phil Salt (5), Jonny Bairstow (0), Moeen Ali (8), and Sam Curran (2) departed cheaply.
• Half the English team was in the pavilion at a score of just 49.
• Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone shared a 19-run partnership. Then Kuldeep Yadav got them out, from here the result became a mere formality.
• England were all out for just 103 runs without playing their 20 overs and India won by 3 wickets.
