'This is not the India of 2022...', Jos Buttler got emotional when England was out of the race for the final, said Team India deserved the trophy 2

After Team India's spectacular victory in the semi-final match played at Guyana ground, England team captain Jos Buttler gave some reasons for his team's defeat.

Butler said in the post-match presentation that,

“India definitely outplayed us. We let them score 20-25 runs too many. It was a challenging surface. One that they played well on. They thoroughly deserved this win. Very different conditions (from 2022), credit to India. They played a very good game of cricket. The conditions were not expected to change too much with rain around. Don’t think that really happened. They outplayed us. Their score was above average.”

Spinners changed the match – Butler

Against India, the England team was able to bat for just 16.4 overs.

Due to which the team was reduced to 103 runs. Regarding England's poor batting, Jos Buttler said, "Don't think that the toss was necessarily the difference between the teams. They have some great spinners. Moeen should have bowled in that innings the way the spinners were bowling. We are really proud of everyone's effort. We stuck together. We failed when it mattered the most."

England collapsed in front of Kuldeep and Akshar

England won the toss and decided to bowl first. Coming to bat first, Team India scored 171 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

In response, the England team could score only 103 runs. England's batsmen could not read the Indian team's spinner bowlers Kuldeep Yadav and Akshar Patel at all. Due to which both these spinners took 3-3 wickets each.
