There will also be a rain of money on the runner-up team of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Actually, they are going to get a total of Rs 10.64 crore. Both the teams that are out of the semi-finals will receive Rs 6.58 crore.
Every team reaching the Super-8 will take home Rs 3.19 crore. Teams finishing 9th to 12th in the points table will be given Rs 2.06 crore. Apart from this, teams finishing 13th to 20th will get Rs 1.87 crore.
Let us tell you that the last T20 World Cup was played in Australia. That time ICC had spent a total of Rs 46.72 crore as prize money. The tournament's winning team England got Rs 12.8 crore, runner-up team Pakistan got Rs 6.4 crore and semi-finalist teams Team India and New Zealand got Rs 3.2 crore. The prize money has been doubled in the 2024 edition.
