It will be a top-of-the-table clash as the division one leaders Surrey will face Essex, who stand in second position and separated by just two points. The match will be played on June 30, Sunday at The Oval.
The 22-year-old Sudharsan had joined Surrey for their final three matches of last season. He featured in two of the matches as Surrey won the title. Sudharsan plays for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket and has been associated with GT in the IPL. Sudharsan had a great run in IPL 2024 as he finished off as the top-run scorer for his franchise with 527 runs in 12 matches with a century and two fifties.
Sudharsan's career so far
The 22-year-old has played three One Day Internationals for India and scored 127 runs, which included on the trot against South Africa in December 2023. In First-Class cricket, Sudharsan has accumulated 1,118 runs in 29 innings.
Surrey are currently placed atop the South Division table. Sudharsan's first outing this season would be against Essex at home on Sunday.
Surrey boasts of a star-studded lineup which features all-rounder Sean Abbott and American leg-spinner Cameron Steel. While West Indies pacer Kemar Roach had also featured for Surrey earlier this season.
