Gulbadin Naib : The Afghanistan team has qualified for the semi-final stage of the T20 World Cup 2024. The Afghanistan team has reached the semi-final match for the first time in its cricketing history by defeating Bangladesh by 8 runs in its last Super 8 match. Now the Afghanistan team will play its semi-final match against South Africa on June 27 at 6 am Indian time.
Before participating in the match against South Africa, the Afghanistan team has got a big shock because the ICC is going to ban Afghanistan's all-rounder Gulbadin Naib because this all-rounder made some mistakes in the match against Bangladesh. For which he may have to pay the penalty in the upcoming matches.
The Super 8 match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh (AFG VS BAN) was quite exciting, but it was raining from time to time during the match. Due to which the DL score was changing repeatedly in the match. At one point it was raining during Bangladesh's batting but the umpire had decided to continue the game.
At that point Afghanistan was winning the match under DL score, so Afghanistan's head coach Jonathan Trott asked his players to slow down the match a bit. Following his coach's instructions, Afghan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib decided to show pain in the live match. After which Gulbadin Naib came to the field to bowl two overs after getting injured. After which ICC can now take strict action against Gulbadin Naib.

Gulbadin Naib took 1 important wicket for Afghanistan by giving 5 runs in 2 overs in the match against Bangladesh. Gulbadin Naib bowled at an economy rate of just 2.5 in the last overs of the match. Due to which Gulbadin Naib's role also played a very important role in helping Afghanistan's team reach the semi-finals.
ICC and match referee can take action against Gulabdin Naib for the kind of drama he did in the live match and can also ban him for one match.
According to the media updates received so far, the match referee has not taken any action against Gulbadin Naib. In such a situation, Gulbadin Naib can now be seen playing for Afghanistan in the semi-final match against South Africa.
