England Cricket made fun of India after the Men in Blue qualified for the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

India will face England on June 27. India defeated Australia by 24 runs to top Group 1 and seal their place in the final four. Rohit Sharma led from the front, scoring 92 runs off 41 balls, laced with 8 sixes and 7 fours.

India posted 205, and despite Travis Head’s sensational hitting, the sub-continent team emerged victorious.

With a 24-run win, India confirmed their meeting with Jos Buttler’s team in Guyana.

The defending champions were made to work hard to make it to the semis. They needed a favor from Australia, and the 2021 champions helped them by beating Scotland. In the Super 8 stage, England started with a win over the West Indies but lost to South Africa. They had to beat the USA to qualify.

England put up a tweet asking what happened when they faced India in the semi-final of the 2022 T20 World Cup.

“Anyone know what happened last time?” asked England Cricket.

For the record, England had defeated India by 10 wickets while chasing 169 runs.

Hardik Pandya managed 63, and Virat Kohli got 50, but Alex Hales and Jos Buttler completed the task in 16 overs.
