Rohit Sharma has been away from the Indian ODI cricket team since the World Cup 2023, so the ODI series to be played against Sri Lanka will be a comeback series for him.

Along with Rohit Sharma, the BCCI management may also consider giving a chance to Virat Kohli in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Virat Kohli also played his last ODI match for the Indian team in the final of the Cricket World Cup 2023.

Hardik Pandya-Jasprit Bumrah may return to Team India

Hardik Pandya may return to the team that the BCCI selection committee will announce for the ODI series on the Sri Lanka tour. Hardik Pandya played his last ODI match against Bangladesh in the Cricket World Cup 2023, after which he was away from the Indian team for about 6 months due to injury.

Along with this, the Indian selection committee can include Hardik Pandya as the vice-captain in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Apart from Hardik Pandya, the BCCI management can give a chance to Jaspreet Bumrah in this ODI series. Jaspreet Bumrah also played his last ODI match in the Cricket World Cup 2023.
