On Monday, in the 55th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team clashed with Australia, in which opener Rohit Sharma scored a lot of runs by thrashing the bowlers. After back to back flop innings, he wreaked havoc with his bat in the IND vs AUS match. Hitman performed brilliantly while taking on the Kangaroo bowlers. Even though he missed out on converting his stormy half-century into a century, Indian fans were very happy with Rohit Sharma.

• In St. Lucia, West Indies, Team India challenged the Australia cricket team to get a ticket to the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
  Both the teams faced each other at the Darren Semi National Cricket Stadium.
• After losing the toss and batting first, the Indian team lost its first wicket at the score of six runs. Josh Hazlewood got Virat Kohli out at the hands of Tim David.
• In such a situation, captain Rohit Sharma himself took the charge and batted brilliantly while standing firm at one end. He scored a lot of runs while giving a lesson to the Kangaroo bowlers.
• Rohit Sharma batted at a strike rate of around 225 and scored 91 runs in 41 balls.
  During this, seven fours and eight sixes came off his bat.

Hitman rained runs

• However, he completed his half-century in just 19 balls. But on the second ball of the 12th over, Mitchell Starc clean bowled Rohit Sharma, ending his stormy innings and he missed out on scoring a century.
• Hitman tried to play the full ball of the bowler on the back foot. But he was deceived by the speed and the ball took the inside edge of the bat and hit the pads and went on to the wicket.
• After this, Rohit Sharma looked very disappointed.
  However, his batting won the hearts of Indian fans, due to which he was praised a lot on social media.
