Team India played tremendous cricket against Bangladesh. The players showed their prowess from batting to bowling. India batted first and scored a huge score of 196 runs. In response, Bangladesh could only score 148 runs in front of India's lethal bowling.

From fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah to Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav, everyone was seen wreaking havoc. India won this match by a big margin of 50 runs. But, the bowlers of Team India made a big mistake. If they do not work on correcting this mistake soon, then they may have to face a big loss in the semi-finals.

Team India's bowlers made a big mistake

  • In the 47th match of the T20 World Cup, Team India faced the Tigers of Bangladesh.
  • But, the Indian Lions did not let the Bengal Tigers even come close to them. Yes, the Indian bowlers restricted the Bangladesh team to 146 runs only.
  • In India's victory, Hardik Pandya scored 50 with the bat and took 1 wicket with bowling.
  • Jaspreet Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh got 2-2 wickets each. While Kuldeep added 3 wickets to his account.
  • However, Akshar Patel did not get any wicket. But, he made a big mistake in the 17th over.
  • Stop clock rule is being used in this ICC tournament. If a bowler does not bowl the second over in 60 seconds i.e. 1 minute, then a penalty of 5 runs is imposed on him.
  • India made the first mistake in this match. Due to which they were let off with a warning. If they do it for the third time, they have to give 5 runs.

You will have to refrain from doing this in the semi-finals

  • In international T20 cricket, every single run matters a lot. 1 run proves to be very important in victory or defeat.
  • In this fast-paced format, the bowlers try their best not to give even a single extra run.
  • On top of that, ICC has also implemented the stop clock rule. This has created pressure on the bowlers to come to the bowling end quickly.
  • The bowler must start the next over within 1 minute or else he will have to face a penalty of 5 runs.
  • Team India has almost confirmed its way to the semi-finals by winning both the Super-8 matches.
  • In such a situation, the bowlers will try their best to learn from the mistake made against Bangladesh and avoid the penalty of 5 runs.

The last match will be against Australia

  • Team India will play its last match in Super-8 against Australia on 24 June.
  • By winning this match, the Indian team would like to knock Australia out of the tournament. Australia has already given deep wounds to India in the finals of the ODI World Cup and WTC 2023.
  • At the same time, the Australian team would like to keep alive its hopes of reaching the semi-finals by defeating India.
