Namibia's captain made a special demand in front of BCCI, expressed this wish regarding Team India

The Indian team is currently busy playing the T20 World Cup. As soon as this tournament ends, the BCCI has planned several series for the team. After returning from the West Indies, Team India will first tour Zimbabwe. After this, it has to play ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka. With these two series, the current season of BCCI will end. After this, in the new season starting from September, apart from the home series, the players of India will tour South Africa for the T20 series. This has been announced by the South Africa Cricket Board and the Indian Cricket Board. Seeing the announcement of both the boards, the captain of Namibia has expressed his desire to play a series in front of the BCCI.

Request to send on Namibia tour

The South African Cricket Board had announced the Indian team's tour on 21 June through its social media handle. After seeing this, Namibia's captain Gerhard Erasmus made a request to the BCCI. He wrote only one line, in which he invited India to visit Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Which clearly means that like South Africa, he wants to invite the Indian team to tour his country. However, the BCCI has not given any answer yet. Let us tell you that like South Africa, Namibia is also an African country. Perhaps this is why he placed his demand in front of the BCCI.

Namibia's performance in T20 World Cup

The Namibia team started its journey in the T20 World Cup 2024 as an Associate Nation on 3 June. A tremendous match was seen in the very first match against Oman. Oman's team scored 109 runs while batting first. Namibia's team could also score only 109 runs while chasing it. This resulted in a tie and Namibia won the match in the Super Over. However, in its next three matches, it had to face defeat against Scotland, Australia and England. During the group stage, Namibia finished fourth in the points table and could not qualify for the Super-8.
