West Indies defeated the United States of America by 9 wickets to keep their hopes of making it to the semi-final alive in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. After losing to England in their first match of the Super 8 stage, the co-hosts needed a victory against the Aaron Jones-led team and the players delivered when it mattered the most.
Chasing 129 runs, the Windies completed the task in 10.5 overs. Shai Hope scored a well compiled fifty-plus score to take his team to a win.
Earlier, Andre Russell and Roston Chase took three wickets each to restrict the USA to 128 in 19.5 overs.
Andries Gous scored 29 runs for the States.
